Bulk editing of login links¶
The autologin links addon allows to edit login links for multiple users at once. This is done via the list-view:
There are two ways to perform bulk editing of login links:
Edit login links for a manually selected subset of users through the list view
Edit login links for all registered users on the page through the “Apply to all users” box
In addition, a CSV-list of generated login links for each registred user can be downloaded via the the “Download CSV Table” button.
Edit login links using the user table¶
The users table shows the autologin links of all users. In addition it allows to (re-)create or delete login links for individual users through the context menu. The search box in the top-right can be used to search for specific users in the user database.
To create or delete login links for selected individuals, selected the users you want to edit by clicking on the checkbox left of that user. Then select an option from the context menu shown in the image above. The only options at the moment are:
“Create new link” - This will create a new login link for a user overwriting the old one if there already was a login link assigned to the given user.
“Delete link” - This option removes a link that was assigned to a user.
Finish by pressing “Apply” to apply the changes to the currently selected set of users.
Please note, that the operation will only be applied to the visually selected set of users. To apply operations to all registered users of a website, use the “Apply to all users” box at the bottom of the page.
Edit login links of all registered users¶
Caution: This box allows to change the login links for all users of your website. Changes cannot be undone, so use carefully!
This box allows to change the login links for all users registered on a website. First, you need to selected an “Operation” that should be applied to each user. These are the same operations that are discussed in the previous section.
Second, you need to select to whom this application should be applied. You can either select “All users”, which means all registered users on the website (on multisite- websites this means: all registered users for any website of the multisite website). Alternatively, you can select a subset of registered users by user-role and/or if users already have a login link or not.
After you made a selection on any of these controls, the “Apply” button will activate. Click that button to execute the operation. A progress bar will indicate the progress of the operations that are being applied. Do not navigate away from the page or the operation will be cancelled!
After the progress bar runs through the page will be reloaded and the changes should show in the list view on the top.
Download a CSV-table with autologin links¶
The “Download CSV Table” button allows downloading a csv list of all generated autologin links for each registered user of a website. On mutlisite setups this again means all users registered on a multisite website, not only for the current webpage! See the screenshots below for examples of what data is included in the listing.
